Since 2018, I have provided clinical services in a variety of treatment settings throughout Metro Detroit. Having worked with a diverse population, I recognize each client as a unique individual and tailor therapeutic experiences to fit your needs. Marcus Thomas, PsyD

I work with adults and older adolescents, conducting psychological testing and evaluation for a variety of problems or conditions. For individuals struggling to find the right type of treatment, seeking accommodations for high school or higher education, or simply wanting to understand themselves better, a psychological evaluation can be a valuable first or next step. Being able to put a name to your struggles in and of itself can bring relief and help give direction for finding treatment that is the best fit for you.

I provide psychological testing and evaluation for adults and adolescents 16+ for ADHD and Learning Disorders, and have specialized experience with assessment of psychotic disorders and bipolar disorders. Whether you are troubled by anxiety, depression, trauma, or one of the conditions listed above, a thorough psychological evaluation can help you understand what you are struggling with and provide recommendations for next steps.

Evaluations are conducted from a thoughtful and empathic perspective in order to truly understand what is troubling you. Opening up for an assessment can be challenging, but is an excellent opportunity to learn more about yourself and uncover what treatments might be best for you.

Areas of Specialization:

  • Psychosis
  • Bipolar disorder
  • Personality pathology
  • ADHD assessment
  • Learning disorder assessment

Previous Clinical Positions:

  • Student Therapist, Indiana State University Psychology Clinic
  • Student Therapist, Richard L. Roudebush VA Medical Center, Psychosocial Rehabilitation & Recovery Center (PRRC)
  • Doctoral Intern, VA Ann Arbor Healthcare System, Mental Health Clinic (MHC) and Veterans Empowerment & Recovery Center (VEAR)

Research Interests:

  • Psychotic disorders and psychosis risk
  • Therapeutically-applied role playing games (TA-RPGs)

Brady Malone, MA

I am a limited licensed psychologist providing psychotherapy and psychological assessment for adults seeking insight into how their personality, life, context, and past experiences contribute to their problems. My approach blends psychoanalytic theory with acceptance-based approaches to identify and resolve self-defeating patterns of behavior.

I work primarily with adults and students who struggle with perfectionism, shame, emotional instability, and relational conflict. Our focus goes beyond symptom relief—Our work starts with the acknowledgment that symptoms like anxiety or conflict avoidance are solutions to larger emotional issues capable of resolution through deep personal reflection and insight.

Therapy is conducted in a thoughtful, empathetic space where introspection is supported and encouraged. Sessions begin by clarifying concerns, then move toward deeper inquiry to promote emotional flexibility, relational clarity, and a more authentic sense of self. High-frequency sessions (2–3x/week) are available for those seeking a more intensive therapeutic experience.

Areas of specialization:

  • Personality disorders (narcissistic and borderline personalities)
  • Chronic depression and low self-esteem
  • Divorce/separation and infidelity
  • Persistent self-defeating, self-sabotaging, and masochistic behavior

Populations served:

  • Adults (18+)
  • High-functioning professionals and college students
  • Queer/non-binary individuals
  • Non-monogamy and polyamory

Educational & clinical experiences:

  • Doctoral Candidate in Clinical Psychology – University of Detroit Mercy
  • Student therapist and evaluator – University of Detroit Mercy
  • Student therapist at Oakland University Counseling Center
  • Limited licensed psychologist – Rehabilitation Institute of Michigan
  • Limited licensed psychologist – Apex Therapy Services
  • Limited licensed psychologist – Center for Mind and Personality
